New Incident Response Poster

Did you say "Oops"? Were you working with any kind of animal or biological material? More than likely you should call Biosafety at 310-825-9797. All biological incidents need to be reported to Biosafety within 8 hours.

To make this easier for you, Biosafety now has a hotline where you can leave a message 24 hours a day and Biosafety personnel will call you back within a few minutes. To promote these changes and encourage reporting across UCLA, a new "ABC" poster is now available through EH&S, to post in labs, offices and vivariums.

ABCs of Bio Exposure

The reporting process is never intended to be punitive, but aids Biosafety in preventing future accidents and helps to maintain regulatory compliance.
