EH&S '23-'24 Winter Break Service Hours

Notice of Service Changes

In accordance with UCLA's observance of winter holidays, EH&S will observe winter break beginning Saturday, December 23, 2023 through Tuesday, January 2, 2024, reopening Wednesday, January 3, 2024. All services will be impacted. No visitors will be able to access the office during the closure; please plan accordingly.
 

  • Serious Injury Hotline
    • The EH&S Serious Injury Hotline at (310) 825-9797, will remain operable for reporting serious employee injuries, including any COVID-19 related hospitalizations that may or may not be work-related.
  • Hazardous Waste
    • Hazardous waste pickup will be closed December 23, 2023 through January 2, 2023 Hazardous waste pickup services will resume January 3, 2023.
  • Regulated Medical Waste
    • Regulated medical waste will be closed except for December 27-29, 2023. Routine regulated medical waste pickups will resume January 2, 2024.
  • Radiation Waste / RAM Package Receipt
    • Radioactive waste pickups and RAM package receipts will be closed December 18, 2023 through January 2, 2024. Radioactive waste pickups and RAM package receipts will resume January 3, 2024. Please see the memo.
  • Office of Emergency Management
    • The Office of Emergency Management will be available for emergency response from December 23, 2023 through January 2, 2024. Normal business operations will resume January 3, 2024.
  • UCLA Fire
    • UCLA Fire Division will have normal operations (6 a.m. to 12 a.m.) until Friday, December 22, 2023. Fire-1 will operate from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., December 27, 28 and 29, 2023. UCLA Fire Division and Fire-1 will not be on duty during all scheduled university holidays and weekends. The Fire Marshal On-Call (FMOC) is available when Fire-1 is not in service. Normal business operations resume Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 6 a.m.
